How do I start planning my wedding?

well great news! i am newly engaged since last night! we decided to wait about 2-3 years or so to tie the knot but during that time- how do i start planning, what all do i have to plan- really i need a wedsite that has a full checklist from food to a garter- thanks in advance!

Congrats to you! I know you are very happy!! 2 or 3 years is still awhile before the wedding but there are many websites that have checklists like theknot.com. You can start by figuring out where you want to have the wedding, what month, outside, inside, a church, the beach, ect. then start looking for the perfect wedding dress, that actually takes awhile, figure out how many guests, the bridesmaids, maid of honor and what dresses you would like them to wear. Then there is the reception and what food you want to serve. Music of course! The first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/daughter dance and also songs that will be played during the cermony/reception. Are you going to go with traditional vows or write your own vows, Of course your color scheme! So as you can see there is alot of things to do and it’s never too early to start looking/planning!!
